SIAA Strengthens Texas Presence Through Strategic Investments
SIAA continues to expand its investment in the Texas independent agency marketplace through coordinated growth across both Sequel Insurance Agencies and The Agent Alliance.
Sequel Insurance Agencies recently announced the acquisition of Watkins Insurance Group, a respected independent agency that has served businesses and families throughout Austin and Central Texas for more than 75 years. Patrick Watkins will continue to lead Watkins Insurance Group as CEO, ensuring continuity for clients, employees and carrier partners as the agency joins Sequel.
At the same time, SIAA has completed the acquisition of Insurance Agents Alliance of Texas (IAAT), creating a new Southwest Region within The Agent Alliance alongside Texas Agency Alliance (TAA). Rodney Watkins has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of both IAAT and TAA, bringing decades of agency leadership and market expertise to the region.
Together, these milestones reflect SIAA’s long-term commitment to strengthening the independent agency channel through complementary growth strategies. While The Agent Alliance supports independent agencies through market access, operational resources and business growth, Sequel partners with established agencies seeking long-term growth, succession and continued local leadership.
